BIOSKETCH
Dr. Mabaso is a registered Nutritionist and interdisciplinary scholar whose work bridges health sciences and management studies. She holds an MSc in Human Nutrition (UKZN) and a PhD in Business Science (UCT), with research advancing gender, health, and work equity through decolonial and participatory approaches that centre marginalised experiences. Her current work explores workplace breastfeeding support, work-family dynamics, and Ubuntu-informed methodologies. She co-chairs the Gender and Health at Work network and brings over five years’ experience in nutrition practice. Grounded in Freirean pedagogy, her teaching creates inclusive spaces where students contribute as whole beings, shaping both her pedagogy and trauma-informed supervision practices.
